The SATs Meet Nintendo: Test Prep for Your DS

You never thought of the SATs as fun and games before, but Nintendo DS has launched a new way for you to prep on your own time.

Want to squeeze in some SAT study while riding the school bus, sitting in homeroom, or waiting at the dentist’s office? Kaplan’s FutureU and Princeton Review’s My SAT Coach can help you do just that. As with a number of applications for DS that have been introduced lately (including Personal Trainer: Cooking and Imagine Interior Designer), these programs aren’t really games but rather educational tools.
A spokesperson from The Princeton Review notes My SAT Coach is “a perfect compliment to traditional test prep as it drills on those ideas that should become second nature but often trip students up. We think of it as muscle memory for the brain….It focuses on skills that are honed best by repetition and speed.”
